1. Overview

General information

The following notes provide a straightforward overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

Data collection on this website

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find the operator's contact details in the imprint.

How do we collect your data?
Some data is collected when you provide it to us (for example, by entering names or search terms). Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when you visit the website.

2. Publicly available information only

PreBriefed researches exclusively publicly available information from the internet.

  • Public sources: We only search publicly accessible web pages, news articles, company pages and profiles.
  • No private data: We have no access to private social media profiles, internal company data or non-public information.
  • Transparent sourcing: All researched information is accompanied by source references.

3. Processing & storage

PreBriefed is built on a privacy-by-design principle. At the same time, we do store certain data where this is necessary to operate the product.

  • Account data: For signed-in users we store account and authentication data (e.g. email address, session information).
  • Profile and product data: User profile, briefing history, CRM connection status and billing-related subscription metadata are stored in order to provide the corresponding features.
  • Shared briefings: Share links are stored for a limited period and expire automatically.
  • AI processing: To generate briefings, data is transmitted to Google Gemini and/or Anthropic Claude. We have concluded corresponding agreements with these providers.

Google Gemini API

We primarily use Google's Gemini API to generate briefing text. Data is transmitted encrypted. According to Google's API policies, data sent via the API is not used to train their models. See the Gemini API terms.

Anthropic Claude API (fallback)

As a fallback we use the API of Anthropic PBC to generate text. Data is transmitted encrypted. Anthropic processes API data in accordance with its applicable API and privacy policies.

Web search (Exa, Brave, optionally Google)

To research publicly available information we use external search APIs. The names and companies you enter are transmitted to the respective provider as search terms:

Resend (email delivery)

We use Resend to send sign-in emails. Your email address is transmitted to Resend. See Resend's privacy policy.

Stripe (payment processing)

We use Stripe to process subscriptions and one-time purchases. During payment, your payment data is processed directly by Stripe. We do not store card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Google Analytics (only with consent)

This website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyse website usage statistically — for example which pages are visited and which source visitors arrive from.

Consent required: The analytics script is only loaded after you click "Accept" in the cookie notice. Without your consent no analysis takes place and no analytics cookies are set. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG.

Withdrawing consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting this website's cookies in your browser — the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit and you can decline. You can also prevent collection using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.
